Protein pudding

This protein pudding is Greek yoghurt and a scoop of chocolate whey, stirred until thick and smooth. It takes 3 minutes and gives about 41 g of protein, roughly double what most ready-made protein puddings in Cypriot supermarkets give per pot.

Chocolate whey makes a classic chocolate pudding. Cookies and cream, raspberry cheesecake, pistachio and salted caramel all work too. The macros are worked out from Fuel Sync's whey label and standard values for 2% Greek yoghurt.

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop (30 g) Fuel Sync whey protein, chocolate
  • 170 g Greek yoghurt (2% fat)
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 2 to 3 tbsp milk

To serve (not in the macros): berries, a few chopped nuts or a little grated dark chocolate.

Method

  1. Put the yoghurt in a bowl and stir in the whey and cocoa powder until there are no dry patches.
  2. Add the milk a tablespoon at a time and stir until the pudding is smooth and thick.
  3. Eat it straight away, or chill it for 10 minutes for a firmer, colder pudding.

Tips and swaps

  • Thicker or thinner: less milk gives a mousse-like pudding; more milk gives a softer, spoonable one.
  • Strained Greek yoghurt gives the thickest result and the most protein.
  • Vegan version: use a plant yoghurt and Fuel Sync vegan protein in chocolate. It sets thicker, so add a little more plant milk.
  • Storage: covered in the fridge for up to 2 days. In summer, don't leave it out of the fridge for more than an hour.
